I was late, but kept my word.

As you can see, I’ve started to post deletes scenes.

I hope you enjoy them. Me, I love it when I get so involved in a book and I go to an authors page and they have extras like deleted scenes and extra character art.

Wow, I think I just said I made my website for myself. How self centered is that? šŸ˜‰

There will be more updates coming soon. The sexy Audley is next. After that… it will be a surprise.

Who am I? I’m Tiffany Easterling a very self centered sci-fi romance writer that could fall into the category of good cheese.

I’m not obsessed…

Today I was talking to a friend and they said, ā€œit was a great book, but I got busy and then distracted by another book.ā€ No, this wasnā€™t about my book, but a general statement. Although I must admit I was confused by, then dumbfounded by, my friends comment.

Me, when I find a good book, or a book that holds my interest, itā€™s like finding treasure. I hold it, love it and I donā€™t let it go untilā€¦well I just donā€™t let it go.

I have been known to stay up all night reading then go to work on no sleep, with the singular thought of getting back to a place where I can read said book. I will skip meals, forget to wash my hair, and even become a shut in of sorts until Iā€™m done. After that I get post book depression. ā€˜It was over just too quick.ā€™

If the book happens to be a series, I may not come up for air at allā€¦ Iā€™ve called in sick to read. Iā€™ve stood in line at book stores to get a newly released book, because I MUST know how the story goes on. I grudgingly pre-order books, not because I donā€™t want to pay for them, but I am hedonistic by nature and knowing I have to wait for a certain date to be able to satisfy my need, itā€™s worse than waiting for Christmas morning. For me, I donā€™t have the patience for it.

I often do this with comics, anime, and TV shows. Iā€™ve driven to four different comic shops in order to complete the arc of that comic. Iā€™ve also been known to get impatient waiting on English print versions of manga and stayed up until one in the morning just so I can read the translated release. When I discovered Bleach; it was on episode two hundred and ninety-six. I mainlined and finished it in just over a week. Mind you, my family was mad at me because I didnā€™t cook for an entire week, but I say it was worth it.

Even after I finish stories I love I often revisit them. Whenever Iā€™m sick, every time Iā€™m sick, I watch Howlā€™s Moving Castle. Iā€™ve seen Alias, all five seasons, at least ten times. That, Firefly, Star Trek, and Stargate, are my usual back ground interest/noise when I write. For some reason, every time we have a rainy week, here in Florida, I get the urge to read Harry Potter. I often spend hours poring over my Witchblade or Crossgen comics, looking for details I missed the first fifty times I read it.

It makes me wonder how I get anything else done. I love getting lost in stories, even when I write. Sometimes I do consider this might be a bad thing, and maybe itā€™s a behavior I should correct. I will own it. It’s possible I should curtail my obsession, but evenĀ  if I should correct myself I know I wonā€™t. I just canā€™t imagine someone walking away from a good story. To me itā€™s like letting all the characters in The Never Ending Story die.

How does everyone else read books? Do you pace yourself? Do you read the last chapter first to make sure you will be okay with the ending? Do you read more than one book at a time? Or do you obsess over the story until you know how it ends, like I do?

Who am I? I’m Tiffany Easterling, paranormal science fiction writer and obsessive compulsive hunter collector of stories of all kinds.

I refuse to be distracted by your great sci or anime show.

Yes, I know I have not updated in a while, or posted in a while, or really written anything for this in a while… (hangs head)… Sorry.

But, in my defense there has been some really great anime that has been recently released AND thanks to my BFF for buying me tons of new manga and books… Well, it was shiny and I got distracted.

However, I will reward your patience with something totally awesome later this week.

So, stay tuned flufferbunners…

Who am I?

I’m Tiffany Easterling, cheesy, sci-fi, action, romance writer.

Going on a convention hiatus.

Last weekend I was at Mythicon in Orlando. Sorry for not updating before hand, BUT my website crashed in the middle of the night. Well, because I crashed it…now it’s funny. It wasn’t funny at 1:00am the night before a con. It all worked out. My friend Dave came to my rescue.

Enough about that, lets talk cons.

I had a great time at the convention and I met some amazing people.

The artist that had the spot to next to me was amazing. She took commissions and because she’s very very very practiced in speed drawing, she got them done in no time and they were just amazing. I didn’t get a picture ofĀ  her because she seemed unbelievably shy, but here is her Deviant art link. http://applepai.deviantart.com/ We had a great time talking about all things anime and sci-fi and I have to say Pai, though very shy, is a huge reference for all things anime manga and awesome. She even did some artwork for me.

My husband dressed as Erwin Smith from Attack on Titan, and she took a picture I took of him and made it all shouju and awesome. I think she will do amazing things in the future.

This is MY Erwin: (you can even see a glimpse of Eren in the back ground)

And this is what she turned him into, in like five seconds.

I’ve decided to not post a bunch of pictures of my favorite cosplays in lieu of one. Christina Goodin, had an amazing Pokemon cosplay. Admittedly I’m not part of the Pokemon fandom, but she did an amazing job at making something stellar. I was envious of how adorable she was, andĀ  sweet, she’s super sweet. She even offered to takeĀ  a picture with my book. She’s a turtle or ‘the’ turtle Pokemon, She is all blue and spakly and even included a shell. (It’s okay it takes a minute to get it.)

If you want to meet her, she’s this hot ass dancer that will be performing at Shadocon in November.

As for me, I realize two things 1: I hate sitting at my booth an entire con… I love meeting people, that part rocks, but it is so hard when you want to go play. I just sort of missed out. 2: cons are a lot of work and I get disappointed easily. Seriously, I took it personally that it seemed I wasn’t popular.

Today I realized I’m a writer… that is what I love and that is what I should do, so I may be making adjustments to booth arrangements in the future.

For a moment, I almost let my brain talk me out of writing. If I need proof that someone else will love what I do, I got it this weekend. I’m not mentioning names, but someone got my book and read it in like 12 hours…. I was flattered and excited. It made me excruciatingly happy and reminded me why I write. Yes, don’t get me wrong the total package dream includes me supporting myself with my writing, but there is no better reward than someone that likes your book that much.

So, I’m taking a short break from con going, and focusing on what I love… writing. Because, who am I? I’m Tiffany Easterling creator of my own brand of cheesy paranormal science fiction.

I really do hate logistics.

I really do hate the logistics that comes with self-publishing. Don’t think to poorly of me for saying that, because truthfully, I just want to write. Logistics are boring and distracting when incomplete. The second book is waiting for me to give it a polished voice, and I still don’t have everything for the first book done.

Would it surprise you to know there are actually four books in this series written?

Yeah, so bare with me… Sigh, logistics.

Break’s over…

I know I have not updated in a while, but two conventions in two weeks was just too tiring, especially after my day job. However, no one said following a dream would be easy, fun but not easy. I did meet some wonderful people and I will be sharing pictures later. At conventions I always feel like there is that one amazing cosplay/costume I didn’t get a photo of, but I will share what I have.

Also you should start to see more changes on the website, including my new deleted scenes page. Do you have a favorite character yet? Well soon there will be scenes that didn’t make it into the book, but went a long way to character development. Along with the scenes I will be posting some beautiful art that helped me with my imaginings of my characters. I hope you like it.

Keep watching for updates.

For those of you that are keeping up with my tag game, look for the Evilbunny, it’s out there!!!

Tiffany Easterling, yep that’s me and I wrote a book called GenesisSpell.

So Much Work Done, and Now comes the Hard Part….

I love love love the book I created.

I love my characters, my world, I even love my bad guys.Ā They are deliciously bad.

I wrote a book that I wanted to read. There’s lots of action, a smidgeon of sensual romance, and a lot of science and magic.

My cover is amazing, or so I think.

Yeah it is definitely a book that I would want to read… and, I am no fool I’d buy it on kindle first, then the paper back. šŸ™‚

I’m proud of it, even if I did break a couple of rules.

So, I created something I love. Now it is time to convince others to read it so they can love it too.

I Got Cover Art…

I got the cover art for my first book. I will release the title of the book and the cover when I get it back from the graphic artist. It’s so exciting I can hardly wait.

I will also be releasing a brief synopsis. So, stay tuned for that.

OK, I have done enough updating on the website for now. Trust me, there is more to come.Ā Ā  My characters are begging for my attention, off to write I go.

Soon to come.

I know the site is a little bare right now. I am working hard to fix that. I have never built a website before. It is fun, yes, but a lot of work. And, I had to learn something new.

So stay with me and I promise it will be worth it.
